The EAMA Summer Music Institute
The Summer Institute, now in its 31st year, offers an intensive 4-week in-person program in Paris steeped in the Nadia Boulanger tradition for composers, film scorers, conductors, chamber musicians and theorists.
Where are classes held?

Classes are held at La Schola Cantorum in the heart of Paris.
Can minors apply?
The admission committee may occasionally accept minor students to the institute; these students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during their residency.
Do I have to take EAMA housing?
Students can elect to make their own lodging arrangements.
Is Auditing other program’s classes permitted?
To assure a productive work environment and the comfort of all students, auditing is not permitted.
How are student placed in classes at the EAMA Summer Institute? Each student will receive a brief placement interview prior to the commencement of classes. We offer several different levels of each class to best challenge each student.
What does access to practice rooms look like?
Students sign-up for practice rooms at La Schola Cantorum. La Schola Cantorum is open 6 days a week for the EAMA Summer Music Institute.
